ASX Mobi-One

We caught up with Dr. Anita Sengupta at the 2019 Global Urban Air Summit in Farnborough, U.K. The co-founder and chief product officer of Detroit, Michigan-based Airspace Experience Technologies (ASX), Sengupta is an aerospace engineer, rocket scientist, and pilot who worked for NASA for 16 years. She told us more about ASX’s Mobi-One tilt-wing eVTOL concept, which the company is developing for both cargo and passenger-carrying missions. For Sengupta, helping to create more sustainable forms of aviation is a passion. “We do have a responsibility as technologists in whatever sector that we’re in to do something to help the planet and to do tech for good. And I think urban air mobility, specifically electric aviation, is a way to do that,” she said. (Video by Lloyd Horgan)
